Melina Patrikiou

She studied Psychology at the American College (Deree College) and obtained a postgraduate degree in psychoanalytic-psychotherapeutic studies from the University of Kent, UK.
As a psychotherapist, she has specialized in Systemic and Family Therapy at the Human Relations Research Laboratory. She has attended numerous educational seminars of the Hellenic Society of Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy.
In 1996, she worked in group and individual sessions with chronic psychotic patients in the 5th Psychiatric Department at the State Hospital of the Leros Health Center. Between 1996 and 1997, she worked in individual sessions in psychiatric clinics (Mavromichelakeio and Lyrakou Psychiatric Clinic). Between 1998 and 1999 she did practical work in Psychodynamic Therapy of people with alcoholism at Mount Zeant Hospital in Kent. From 1999 to 2001 she worked in a Community Rehabilitation and Reintegration Program with chronic psychotic patients in Kent. From 2003 to 2015 she collaborated with Merimna Zois anti-addiction. She currently works privately as a psychotherapist and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team at Vima Koino.
