Eleonora Gkousiari is a Psychology graduate of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. She is trained in Lacanian psychoanalysis and holds a postgraduate specialization in Cultural Studies (Panteion University and the National Technical University of Athens). She has worked in the field of psychosocial support for adults with disabilities, implementing individual and group empowerment programs aimed at social inclusion. She has also worked with refugees (adults and unaccompanied minors) and people on the move, individuals living in precarious housing conditions, and survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, providing mental health services and psychosocial rehabilitation.
In parallel, she has extensive clinical experience in the therapeutic support of adolescents with psychosocial difficulties, working clinically with adolescents, young adults, and their families. Her clinical and research interests focus on psychoanalysis, cultural theory, and the study of lived experiences of people on the move who are subjected to spatial and social exclusion. She maintains a private practice and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team of the “Vima Koino” Center.
