Mary Panou is a psychologist, a graduate of the Department of Psychology of Panteion University with a professional license (No.156917/4184). During her undergraduate studies she did a clinical internship at the Psychiatric Clinic of the “Sotiria” Hospital. She specialised in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at the Society for Cognitive Behavioural Studies, where she woked as a psychotherapist in the Department of Adult Therapy.
Her master’s degree is on Applied Cognitive and Developmental Psychology. During her undergraduate studies, she did an internship at the Psychiatric Clinic of the General Hospital of Thoracic Diseases “Sotiria”, while during her postgraduate studies, she did her internship at psychosocial support structures of municipalities and at the Athens University of Economics and Business. In her thesis research she dealt precisely with applications in the field of psychology and with the relationship between psychology and new technologies.
Having worked for some years in primary and secondary schools and in special therapy centres, she has gained experience in children, adolescents and adults as well as in Parent Counselling. Her volunteer work has been related to Community Intervention through the “IASIS” AMC and telephone support through the Ministry of Health’s 10306 line. At present she cooperates with “BHMA KOINO”, as well as with other adult and child psychotherapy centres. She also maintains her private office as a psychologist-psychotherapist and teaches some courses in the undergraduate psychology department of Metropolitan College.
