Christina Zourna studied Psychology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and then completed her postgraduate studies in the field of Clinical Psychology at Leiden University in the Netherlands.
She trained in Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy at the Society for Cognitive Behavioural Therapies and later specialised in Eating Disorders at the Hellenic Society for Behavioural Research (EES) in collaboration with the Aegineteio Hospital. Since then, he has been a research associate at the Department of Eating Disorders of the 1st University Psychiatric Clinic of the Aeginiteion Hospital. He has also been trained in the trauma therapy method, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) at the non-profit organization TACT HELLAS.
She has conducted research of clinical interest in the scientific field of Neuropsychology in the context of weighting Neuropsychological Diagnostic Tools. She is certified in the administration and interpretation of the MMPI (Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory) personality test, where she collaborates with airlines in the context of administering the instrument to pilots before their recruitment.
She is currently completing her specialization in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy at the Hellenic Society for Behavioral Research in collaboration with the “Behavioural Tech Institute (BTECH)”. This is a therapy created by University of Washington psychology professor Marsha Linehan originally for the treatment of patients suffering from Borderline Personality Disorder and in particular for the treatment of young women who were exhibiting self-destructive behaviors.
Christina Zourna’s professional experience includes clinical assessment and supervision, presenting seminars on mental health promotion in the workplace, and providing psychotherapy services in hospitals, psychiatric clinics, non-governmental organizations, government and private practices.
Provides sessions in Greek and English.
She maintains a private office and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team at Vima Koino.
